Another Dark Knight?

Another Dark Knight?

In just five days, The Dark Knight has already grossed $200 million, besting 2004's Spider-Man 2 which got there in eight. The box office juggernaut is so big that it's gotten its stars perhaps a little too excited.

There was that whole unfortunate Christian Bale thing, where he either got a little overzealous with the my-movie-is-huge happy dance, accidentally flailing into his mother and sister, or he's just a giant domestic-abusive douchebag. On the other side of the aisle is Aaron Eckhart, who is loving the success of The Dark Knight so much, he's ready to do the sequel. Said Eckhart: "To work with Christian (Bale) all over again, and the cast, would be phenomenal." Phenomenal indeed, since (SPOILER ALERT!) his character Harvey Dent/Two-Face totally died at the end of the movie. [Ed's note: Or did he? -- Lauren] Nevertheless, if there's ever a character that can be easily (phenomenally!) resurrected it's a comic book one.

Provided the film continues to steam-roll its competition, there's no doubt Warner Brothers will be quick to green light another movie. The only issue I could think could be a problem is its star's current legal trouble. Granted, at present they haven't charged him with anything, but if the fist-flying temper tantrums continue, they would quite possibly have to film most of the movie on location with the Batman in the clink, or pull a Joker-style jailbreak to get Bale out of Central Holding.
