Amy Poehler, Adam Scott and Mike Schur Talk Leslie and Ben’s Parks and Recreation Wedding

Fans of Parks and Recreation have been looking forward to the "Wedding of the Millennium" ever since the moment that Ben Wyatt first locked eyes with Leslie Knope. Amy Poehler and Adam Scott's on-screen chemistry is undeniable, so when they and Mike Schur (Parks & Rec's creator, writer, producer and director) took a media call on Wednesday to talk about the upcoming nuptials, it should come as no surprise that the trio's rapport was just as charming. Below are the highlights.

Amy Poehler's New Job

Amy Poehler's New Job Amy Poehler has been added to the cast of the Office spinoff that apparently is in no way an Office spinoff, so please for the love of god stop calling it an Office spinoff. The funny lady (who I guess is leaving SNL now? As much as it pains me, it's time for her to move on) will join comedian Aziz Ansari in Office writers/producers Greg Daniels and Mike Schur's new NBC sitcom, set to premiere next winter in a sexy Thursday night post-Office timeslot.

Poehler Position: Not on Saturday Night Live Any More

As you may have seen, Amy Poehler is leaving Saturday Night Live. Not only is she becoming a for-real "baby mama" with her husband Will Arnett, but once that's over she's gonna be starring in the new show from the creators of The Office. First of all, congratulations, Amy! The offspring of you and Arnett will be hysterically adorable, and your new show will be adorably hysterical. Second of all, this sucks. SNL just got a lot less adorable, and a whole lot less hysterical.

Saturday Night Live: The Best and Worst of Melissa McCarthy

Saturday Night Live: The Best and Worst of Melissa McCarthy

How do you turn a versatile, gifted comic actress into a one-note sight gag? Apparently by having her host SNL for her third time. It's not that the Mike & Molly star didn't give it her all this weekend on SNL, but for whatever reason, the writers insisted on making the beautiful, hilarious actress dumpy and/or vulgar in just about every single sketch. After the third or fourth time, it wasn't funny. Just in case that wasn't enough to bum you out, there was also Imagine Dragons. Kidding, it's because the episode also marked Seth Meyers' final appearance on SNL before he takes over Late Night, and the long-running player/writer got an amazing, guest-filled, lump-in-the-throat farewell. Here now are the best and worst of Melissa McCarthy (and Seth Meyers!) SNL:

Parks and Recreation: Where to Watch the Cast During the Show’s Hiatus

Dammit, Jerry/Gerry/Garry/Larry! Don't ask us how it's his fault that NBC is putting Parks and Recreation more or less on hiatus until January 2014, but he is, we just know it. Sadly, that news is true: due to some infuriating schedule switcheroos, we won't get the new Halloween episode of Parks and Rec until November 14 so it can be preempted for episodes of The Voice and an SNL special. After back-to-back episodes on November 14 and 21, there will be a break and we won't see Leslie Knope and Co. again until January 9, 2014. While Adam Scott assured fans nothing fishy is going on, it was heartbreaking enough when we had to deal with the uncertain future of Parks and Rec, but now that we have it back, we can't actually have it? And, nice try, but none of this will get any of us to watch Sean Saves the World because, you know, we have eyes.

Super Bowl XLVII: The Best and Worst Commercials

Super Bowl XLVII: The Best and Worst Commercials

Obviously, the best part of this game wasn't the commercials, or even the halftime show, or hell, even the game. In this case, it was all about the blackout, or the partial power outage at the stadium that caused reporters' heads to explode and players to lie on the ground "stretching" but looking like they were dying. That's good entertainment for us non-sportsy types, even if it made this game end even later than normal. But before we get to the commercial spots, can we just give a shout-out to the lovely Jennifer Hudson who looked fantastic and sounded even better while belting out "God Bless America"? And can we ask again if Alicia Keys has a codependent relationship with her piano? Because, honestly, her "Star-Spangled Banner" was average, and the piano was a major distraction. And while we appreciated the Destiny's Child reunion, it was a little sad that Kelly and Michelle only got to do snippets of their songs before having to sing one of Beyonce's solo numbers and then be shooed off stage. We kept expecting something more. Like maybe Beyonce to actually hit her mark in the opening so the body-forming lights would have gone around her. But whatever, on to the commercials.
