TWoP 10: Things That Would Make Us Happiest at the Golden Globes

It's the start of movie awards season, and we're already dreading this particular self-congratulation fest since the incessant commercials running for the ceremony make us cringe. They're bringing Ricky Gervais back to say crazy things, but no one liked it the last couple times he did it. We don't get it. So while we have to suffer through the night in real time (because it is our job), there are a few things that could actually make us enjoy it.

TWoP 10: Best New Sidekicks on TV

Although very few of this fall's new programs are remotely outstanding, most of them have at least one redeeming character. Yes, even Beauty and the Beast. Here are the standout sidekicks who don't get enough recognition

TWoP 10: Midseason Shows We're Looking Forward To

The 2012 fall TV season is under way, but since most of the new series have been largely underwhelming, we're already looking forward to the shows that will be helping us get through the winter (and spring) doldrums in 2013.

TWoP 10: Biggest Surprises of the Fall 2012 Season So Far

We're in the midst of the fall 2012 season, and while some shows have just debuted or are still delayed, there have already been some big shockers (sadly, Community getting postponed didn't really surprise our jaded selves). Unfortunately, while some of these surprises have renewed our faith in television, others may have had the opposite effect.

TWoP 10: Emmy Wins That Would Make Us Happy

While we've already done our predictions and blathered on about the quality performances that actually deserve to win (i.e. our beloved Homeland), these are the things that would actually make us up jump for joy come Emmy night. Please note: it takes a lot to get us up off our couches.

TWoP 10: Reasons We’re Looking Forward to The Voice and The X Factor

We're actually excited for the head-to-head match-up of The Voice and The X Factor on Wednesday, but it sure as hell isn't because of the talent competing (or the awful auditions that make our ears bleed). Instead, we've got many other reasons why we let these two singing competition shows clutter up our DVRs.

TWoP 10: Returning Shows We're Nervous About

With all of the fall 2012 returning shows fresh on our minds, we're getting a little bit antsy that our expectations are too high for some of our favorite series. As fun as big plot twists, new storylines and major changes in general are, what if the upcoming seasons can't match what's already happened? We're not so much freaked out about shows that are already bananas (like The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl), nor are we wasting our energy hoping that Glee transforms into an amazing series, but for these beloved shows, our nerves are starting to take over.

TWoP 10: Things We’ll Miss About The Newsroom Until Next Year

The Newsroom quickly became our favorite show to hate-watch this summer thanks to its ridiculous plotlines, insufferable characters and general condescending attitude. It'll be a struggle for us to get through a Sunday night without being so frustrated that we want to throw our remotes at our televisions. Here are the ten elements of the show that we're most going to miss as we wait for Season 2 next year:

TWoP 10: Most Disappointing New Shows of the Summer

Thank goodness for our returning shows, because otherwise this would have been a tough TV summer. While Teen Wolf, Suits, True Blood and Breaking Bad have all delivered week after week, most of the new programming of the last few months has left a lot to be desired. Breaking Pointe was fun and we're oddly obsessed with the surreal Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but too many other freshman series were underwhelming at best. Here's what let us down the most:

TWoP 10: Olympic Spin-Offs We Want to See

The Olympics are almost over and we're a little let down and wondering what to do with all our spare time. So we'd like to propose these dream reality shows that would focus on some of the breakout stars of the London 2012 games, keeping the summer Olympic spirit alive for us during the long four-year wait for Rio.
