Scrubs Surprisingly Doubles the Fun

Scrubs Surprisingly Doubles the Fun

Ah Scrubs. We used to love it, but then we had to PH it. It just wasn't so consistently funny anymore. Still, it definitely deserved a better send off than that twisted fairy tale mess of a "series finale" that aired on NBC, but I wasn't entirely looking forward to its return, especially if it was going to deliver more lackluster episodes. There's not much I hate more than shows that just don't know when to quit. However, the two episode premiere (on its new network) actually won me over, and made me remember why I used to enjoy this show in the first place. Here's why...

Scrubs: Season Seven

Scrubs: Season Seven Scrubs may not be nearly as good as it used to be, but it is still on the air, which means there are DVDs to review! I didn't watch this, the last NBC season before the show hops over to ABC, but I did watch the season finale for review purposes, and I can still say with confidence that this thing just ain't as good as it once was. The DVD extras are a little better though, so let's talk about this instead, shall we?

Oz the Great and Powerful: Zach Braff Describes His On-Set Monkeyshines

Zach Braff changes in his doctor's scrubs for a pair of wings in Oz the Great and Powerful, the Sam Raimi-directed Wizard of Oz prequel that opens in theaters on Friday. The former Scrubs star actually pulls double duty in the film, starting out as the human friend and accomplice of carnival-huckster-turned-(fake) wizard Oscar Diggs and then transforming into a flying monkey (don't worry, he's the friendly kind) when the action shifts to the merry old land of Oz. Braff spoke with us about his simian alter ego, working with the director of Spider-Man and the connection between the Oz franchise and a short film from his distant past.
