Two big Season 2 premieres are scheduled for Sunday, April 1: HBO's Game of Thrones and AMC's The Killing. To make sure you're watching the correct show and not falling victim to some kind of strange TV-related April Fool's prank, we're created a helpful guide to get you on the right track with the series you're attempting to watch. FYI: Those interested in the three-house Celebrity Apprentice episode need not worry about any confusion.

After watching the two-hour pilot of this show, I've decided that I've seen enough of it to last me a lifetime. I was hoping for more as I really like William Fichtner (particularly his Prison Break stint) and Donald Sutherland. So while this show isn't really bad per se, it's just not at all compelling. I only watched the second half, thinking that this might be a slow-burn like The Killing, but it seems to boil down to a procedural (with a few ongoing personal vengeance storylines) that really lacks any spark. At times it reminded me of The Breakout Kings (except with law enforcement officials instead of cons), but without any sense of humor. Guess there's a reason it's premiering in the middle of summer with hardly any promotion leading up to it.

The show everyone loves to hate (no, not Smash... the other one) leads off a slow week for TV on DVD releases.

We've started celebrating Independence Day a few days early, and we're especially happy because the past TV season allowed us to finally get away from some truly terrible characters. Thank goodness for deaths and cancellations. We'll light some sprinklers in these people's honor.

Instead of honoring the great dads on TV (like the adorably weird Phil Dunphy or the sweet Danno) this Father's Day weekend, we decided to just be grateful that we aren't the offspring of this season's ten worst patriarchs. And believe it or not, only two guys from last time made this list, which means there were eight new terrible parents on TV in the past year.

In our now annual tradition, we're celebrating Mother's Day by calling out the very worst moms on TV this season. This year, we're particularly grateful that none of these women raised us. And the truly scary thing is that there's only two repeats from last year, and that's with leaving reality TV mothers off the list, which means there are some truly twisted matriarchs on the airwaves now.
