Who is worse: A dieter with a bad attitude, a chef who can't cook or a hostess who gives us nightmares?

The Most Heinous Person on Reality TV This Week

It wouldn't be the season finale and reunion of Jersey Shore if The Situation wasn't acting like an ass.

Chaos: Not a Good Name for A Show That Can’t Decide What It Wants to Be

Because I rag on CBS procedurals a lot, I'm always happy to see a show that's a little quirky try to break through the genre's conventions, but Chaos is just quirky for quirky's sake, which annoys me on a whole different level. Especially since the show can't make up its mind if we're supposed to take these heroes seriously or not, considering they end up being somewhat competent at the end of the day. It's like if everyone on this series is a variation on Michael Scott, with no voice of reason to balance them out.

TWoP 10: Most Awful Reality Stars of the Spring

It's hard to believe that the reality TV genre can keep producing new personalities that are even more outrageous, annoying and/or disgusting than the last ones. But yet this spring alone has brought us another crop of folks we love to hate. Some of them are actually familiar faces we may have enjoyed watching in the past, while others are gifting us with their awfulness for the first time.

TWoP 10: TV Shows That Oprah Should Join

The world is still reeling from the news that that the queen of daytime television will be abandoning her current talk show at the end of next season. Well, maybe it's just the world of stay-at-home moms and the unemployed that's reeling, but regardless, the question on everyone's minds is: what will Ms. Winfrey do next? While many consider it a given that she'll simply star on a new series on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network, natch), we think that she should set her sights a little higher. Primetime high. Here's our unsolicited job advice for her:

Interview With a Terminator

Interview With a Terminator A bunch of us blogger types were recently invited to get on the horn with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' newest cyborg, the fabulous T-1001 Shirley Manson, to discuss all manner of things, including her longtime love of the Terminator franchise, acting without training, recording soundtrack material (that voice singing at the beginning of Monday's episode was Manson after all), impending new albums, and why Glenn Close is totally a Terminator. Read on for choice quotes from the conference call while you still can, lowly humans!

Antonio Sabato, Jr. Turns to VH1 for Love

Antonio Sabato, Jr. Turns to VH1 for Love From the makers of Paris Hilton's New BFF, VH1 brings you... an untitled matchmaking show starring Antonio Sabato, Jr. looking for love! The "Fantasy Man" (VH1's words, not mine) isn't looking for much; he just wants a woman who can skydive in an evening gown or re-create steamy love scenes in a soap opera fashion. Which isn't too much to ask, really, it's just terribly specific. I can totally see why he's had so much trouble finding this in the private sector. The show will be filmed like a soap opera, (somehow), with all of the challenges (including the two listed above), based entirely on soap opera conventions. Why all the soaps mania on this show? Because Antonio Sabato, Jr. used to be on General Hospital, that's why. Now, I hate these shows as much as the next person, but that premise is hysterical. What if all actors based their relationship expectations on their previous roles? I'd sure pity the poor bastard who tries to date Rutger Hauer. Which means only one thing -- it's totally time for more TWoP casting suggestions!

Hills Stars Continue to Make Careers Out of Being Their Boring Selves

Hills Stars Continue to Make Careers Out of Being Their Boring Selves I know I'm partially to blame for the enduring success of The Hills and its respective "stars," being that despite my incessant rants that nothing ever effing happens on that show, I continue to tune in week after week, perhaps operating under the misapprehension that the one time I miss it will be the time producers finally decide to unleash a shitstorm. That said, I can't help but be infuriated by the fact that these bland tanorexics keep making money for doing essentially nothing but acting -- I use the term with no small sprinkling of irony -- like themselves. Say what you will about L.C.'s crappy fashion line -- at least it requires some measure of effort. Sure, it's unlikely she actually designs any of that ugly poo herself, but the whole endeavor is based on the idea that she has an actual interest in fashion and might have, at one point, drawn a sketch. The girl does, after all, attend fashion school (sometimes).

Law & Order: Bad For Your Fat Ass

Law & Order: Bad For Your Fat Ass

I'm being serious! According to a recently published report, Law & Order and so-called "must-bleed" TV shows of its ilk (CSI, Criminal Minds, The Closer and what have you) that depict death and violence are linked to people buying and eating more food. Something about when being faced with one's own mortality -- because violent, ripped-from-the-headlines murders really get you thinking on a deeper level -- it's easier to rationalize eating that entire can of Pringles. Not that I've done that.
