No news is good news today, unless you like slow news...

FX's Archer was just renewed for a 13-episode fourth season. Celebrate with some random quotes!

Murphy Brown star Lily Tomlin signed on to star opposite Reba McEntire in ABC's new pilot, Malibu Country. The show centers around McEntire moving her country family to a little house in Malibu after her husband in Nashville cheats on her and spends all their savings. This sounds to Billy Ray Cyrus-y for my taste.

Brothers & Sisters star Dave Annable has signed on to ABC's upcoming 666 Park Avenue. The thriller is based on the book series with the same name about a couple who manages an apartment building in New York City.

Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis have signed on to star in CBS' untitled Ralph Lamb pilot. Quaid will play Lamb, a Las Vegas rodeo cowboy in the 1960s turned sheriff. Ironically, this isn't a comedy at all, as much as it sounds like a good laugh.

Judy Reyes of Scrubs fame will star alongside Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez and Roselyn Sanchez in the ABC pilot Devious Maids, written by Marc Cherry of Desperate Housewives. The soap follows four maids working in Beverly Hills while trying to achieve their own goals and dreams. What a fresh concept.

Mira Sorvino will star in Jerry Bruckheimer's CBS drama pilot Trooper. The show surrounds main character KJ Flaxton, who goes from common New York housewife to state trooper.

And, in the last bit of today's pilot news, Scott Foley of Grey's Anatomy fame will join Becki Newton in Fox's comedy pilot The Goodwin Games. The show is a single-camera comedy about three siblings who come together to inherit their dead father's fortune. I feel like this set of TWoP news has a lot of shows that are bordering drama/comedy and comedy/canceled-after-the-first-season. This is the latter of the two.
