The holidays are long over, but apparently the networks are still feeling generous.

HBO renewed its new series Luck for a 10-episoode second season. Accordingly, Showtime just ordered new seasons of Shameless, House of Lies, and Californication.

Along with the premium network additions, ABC has ordered four new pilots, including one drama from Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, titled Devious Maids... sounds fresh! And over on Fox, Kevin Bacon is getting some serious work.

A source claims that The X Factor may be adding Mariah Carey onto the panel. Bad timing, Melanie Amaro!

Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston is joining a very different living situation, signing on to direct an upcoming episode of ABC's Modern Family. Wonder if Phil Dunphy will take a job selling drugs to pay for his crazy antics.

Academy Award nominee, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Barbara Hershey will be joining the cast of ABC's Once Upon a Time, as a character named Cora, the evil queen of the fairytale world.

Paul Feig, co-creator of Freaks and Geeks has announced a new autobiographical teen-drama in the works. The show will highlight Feig's adolescent struggle with the clash between sex, awkwardness and being a young Christian Scientist. Please tell me at some point in the series, he just starts wearing an oversized military jacket.

And, once again, ending on a rather sad note, Hollywood lost Soul Train creator Don Cornelius. He was found dead in his Sherman Oaks, CA home this morning after an apparent suicide. His creation debuted in 1971 and ran for 35 years.
