Bad news for people who hate musical theater.

NBC has renewed Smash for a second season, assuming Ivy doesn't claw Karen's eyes out by then... unless they want to make Season 2 really, really, dark.

Ruh roh, Office fans: Thanks to his new job leading the Dwight Schrute spin-off, showrunner Paul Lieberstein is leaving Dunder Mifflin Sabre. And then there's this business with Ed Helms joining Mindy Kaling's Fox sitcom. If you're one of the few people who are extremely sad about the NBC juggernaut finally ending for good, perhaps you'll like the news that 30 Rock is having another live episode.

CBS released its finale dates, which means I will soon be able to stop torturing myself by watching new episodes of 2 Broke Girls every week.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome has been dropped by Syfy, but may be made into a presumably even less watchable digital series.

MTV picked up four unscripted series, the only one really worth mentioning is The Heights about "a group of best friends living, working and playing in the New York neighborhood of Washington Heights" because it sounds like a potential mix of The Hills and hopefully NYC Prep.

Ed Speleers is joining the cast of Downton Abbey, and whoa... is it getting hot in here?

And finally, in pilot news, Lost's Maggie Grace joined Kevin Williamson's Fox serial killer pilot and Jack Coleman, Mr. H.R.G himself, signed on to The CW's First Cut.
