DirecTV: Destroying your happiness, one channel at a time.

DirecTV has just announced that they will drop all Viacom channels from their lineup by the end of the night. The carrier and the media company have been in disputes over the renewal of their contract, and now DirecTV is ready to pull the plug on channels like MTV and Nickelodeon. No more Awkward?! No more reruns of Laguna Beach?! Why even get up in the morning?

Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch has booked a dual guest-starring role on Season 24 (24!!!) of The Simpsons, where he will play both the British Prime Minister and a snake-like creature -- which could be another politician, I guess.

Two new faces will be joining the cast of White Collar next season. The Good Wife's Titus Welliver will guest star as a senator with ties to Neal's father. Also guest starring next season is Reed Diamond of 24, who will play a construction magnate with political ties.

Matt Camden is back on television. Barry Watson, who played the oldest son on the world's most irritating Christian family drama 7th Heaven will guest star on the final season of Gossip Girl. Watson will play an entrepreneur who romances Serena. Which means he'll probably end up in emotionally unstable or imprisoned by the end of the season.

Supernatural's Sam will be getting a new love interest -- because a show about demon hunting just can't be interesting on its own. Liane Balaban of Covert Affairs will be guest starring as Amelia, a "damaged soul" who Sam connects with.

The Glee Project is actually delivering on more Glee stars, with Dianna Agron, A.K.A Quinn, mentoring the misfit talents in the upcoming "Actability" episode. Grant Gustin, who portrayed Sebastian from this past season will mentor during the "Theatricality" episode.

In honor of Ernest Borgnine, who passed away earlier this week, TCM will air a 24 hour marathon of Borgnine's films on July 26. The marathon will include classic films such as From Here to Eternity, Marty and The Wild Bunch.
