Emmy episode submissions are in. Let the second-guessing begin!

The day we've been waiting for is here! No, not the Emmy nominations, that happened two weeks ago. What we're psyched about is the revelation of what episodes the various nominated actors and actresses have submitted to voters as they go about making up their minds. Veteran awards watcher Tom O'Neil has the full rundown of submissions for the drama and comedy categories. The most interesting choices to us? Jon Hamm's decision to go with the Joan-centric "The Other Woman" (which Christina Hendricks understandably picked as her submission for her overdue victory in the Supporting Actress category) as opposed to the more Don-heavy "At the Codfish Ball" or "The Phantom." On the other hand, we're not at all shocked that Giancarlo Esposito picked "Hermanos" a.k.a. "Gus Fring Begins" as his submission. On the comedy side, Amy Poehler, Lena Dunham and Julia Louis-Dreyfus all submitted the season finales of their respective series -- Parks and Rec, Girls and Veep -- as their showcases of choice on their inevitable path towards losing to Tina Fey for 30 Rock yet again. Tune into the Emmy's on September 23 to see which winner picked the right episode... and which are left rooting for a do-over.

Sharon Osbourne has blamed her decision to ditch America's Got Talent on NBC's alleged decision to fire her son Jack -- who was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis -- from a possible spot on the network's new reality series Stars Earn Stripes. Hey, if the network hires and then fires one of the junior Mandels, does that mean we can finally be free of Howie?

Writer, comedian and dating columnist Mandy Stadtmiller has shed some light on Aaron Sorkin's writing process, claiming that the Oscar-winning writer modeled a Newsroom character after her. The duo briefly dated each other in 2010 and a dinner conversation about Stadtmiller's assignment to pen a takedown piece about Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel for the New York Post planted a seed in his mind that grew into a notorious scene from the show's fourth episode where Will harangues a gossip columnist (played by Hope Davis) about her job and winds up with a drink in his face. Stadtmiller's hilarious column also features text messages from Sorkin and a photo of a cheesy mash note he included with a birthday bouquet that reads: "If you look like this at 36 I can't wait until 46." Yikes... that's the kind of writing for which they take back Oscars.

After killing it on a two-episode Louie arc recently (and inspiring visions of other '90s stars we want Louis C.K. to write guest spots for) Parker Posey has booked another high-profile guest star gig on the Season 2 premiere of New Girl. The eternal Party Girl will play a woman who turns up at a special party that Schmidt throws to celebrate his liberation from his penis cast.

Lifetime is going all-in on this Dance Moms thing, picking up the new competitive reality series Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition. As the title suggests, Abby Lee Miller herself will be a judge on the show alongside Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin and choreographer Richard Jackson. The 6 to 13 year-old winner will score a $100,000 paycheck and a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School while the losers will bear the same of having disappointed Abby Lee for the rest of their natural lives.
